Laurence Ellis

Info Projects

Laurence Ellis has always pursued stories that explore the intersection of people and their environment. Be it the plight of climate change refugees in the Arctic Circle, alternative mental health communities in rural Scotland, or a nudist colony in Florida (all for Document Journal Magazine) his images have storytelling at their heart. A recent cover story for Beyond Noise Magazine was created in collaboration with the Rewilding Argentina Foundation to document their conservation work in Patagonia.

His approach fluidly navigates reportage, fashion, landscape and portraiture, embracing characters and narratives wherever he is.

Laurence is a regular contributor to Beyond Noise, and shoots for World of Interiors, Sixteen Journal, More or Less and Beauty Papers Magazines. His clients include Fendi, Citizens of Humanity, Ahluwalia and Fear of God.
